- Denver, COWhen you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.”Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our highly respected Cardiothoracic Surgery program based at Intermountain Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado . This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside three Cardiothoracic Surgeons and a collaborative team of advanced practice providers while practicing at the top of your license in a comprehensive surgical role.

From first assisting in complex cardiac and thoracic procedures to managing patients across the ICU, telemetry units, clinic, and postoperative settings, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding surgical outcomes and patient experiences.

Clinical Practice Details You would practice at our CT Surgery clinic and Intermountain Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO Rotating schedule with 4 total PAs, including 24-hour call coverage and weekend rounding

Occasional call and rounding eph Hospital , a sister facility in Denver First assist in cardiac/thoracic surgeries; minimal vascular case load including dialysis access

On average, one case per dayMUST have proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting

Place foley catheters and invasive lines

Team responsibilities include ICU/ telemetry rounding, discharges and first assist coverage for all cases

Clinic coverage for post-op patients

What you’ll bring

We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require the following:

Graduate from an accredited Physician assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

Licensed as PA or NP in the state of CO or able to obtainDEA and full prescriptive authority in COMinimum of 2 years as a First Assist PA or NP in a CT Surgery setting (please, no new graduates)
Minimum of 1 year experience with proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting for bypass procedures

How we'll support you Compensation:

Our compensation consists of a base salary plus call pay (Q4 call). The salary is calculated on years of experience and can range from $140,000 - $193,000 .Additionally, we are offering a $25,000 sign on bonus as well as relocation, if applicable (up to $7500 ).You would also receive up to $4,000 annually to take CME plus an additional 5 days of time over PTO.Benefits:
