About the Job
The Neurology Veterinary Technician position will assist the hospital in delivering excellent care to all of its patients within the hospital. Perform Veterinary Technician duties pursuant to WRAH Technician Protocols. Embodies the culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.
How You'll Make a Difference- Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity
- Provide support to all veterinarians and assist other departments as requested
- Run anesthetic procedures and monitor patients
- Use of ventilators, anesthetic machines, monitoring devices, and MRI
- Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients
- Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urine
- Properly use and maintain medical equipment
- Provide professional client communication and run patient appointments
- Experience working as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician
- A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
- Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols
- Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects
Full-Time position, Monday to Thursday, 8:30AM - 6:30PM
Salary$24.00 - $29.00/hour, based on experience
