Parts Specialist - O'Reilly Auto Parts

Location:

Wheat Ridge, CO (subject to change).

Hours:

Full‑time. Salary: $14.81 – $21.00 per hour.

The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service and support store management in assigned tasks.

Base hourly wage: $14.81 – $21.00. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums as applicable.

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, etc.)
• Greet retail and walk‑in customers in a friendly manner and assist them in product selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
• Complete assigned company training.
• Provide excellent service on the phone: answer calls, lookup parts, quote prices, recommend items, offer Low‑Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure cash drawer; process cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns following company policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking, fronting, facing, cleaning, etc.
• Perform operational tasks such as preparing merchandise returns, monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Provide in‑store services (install wipers, test and charge batteries, scan trouble codes, replace headlight capsules, etc.) where allowed by law.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle in accordance with driving eligibility requirements.
• Execute all other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Excellent, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
• Multitasking ability: handle customers on the phone and in store simultaneously.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, inventory systems, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
