Reports To

Program Administrator

Job Goal

The administrative assistant provides assistance to the Program Administrator in all aspects of implementing the program.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Word and data processing experience helpful.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain processes and procedures for the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and distribute program registration packets and generate class list for all students.
  • Assist in maintaining records and budgets for all classrooms as well as general program budget.
  • Administer all purchase orders for the program from inception to payment.
  • Oversee program accounts.
  • Maintain files of correspondence, report and student records.
  • Compile and report all student attendance to the student's home district on a monthly basis.
  • Create and keep up-to-date the program data bases for all STARS/Autism Program students and employees.
  • Set up all staffings for students in the program
  • Create school calendar for each classroom coordinating with district and SASED schedules.
  • Communicate with bus companies on all calendar deviations and/or changes.
  • Report employee absences for all Program employees to Central Office on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate emergency assistance whenever necessary.
  • Make and receive telephone calls relative to student and classroom issues.
  • Complete all correspondence and reports required by program administrator or certified staff after approval of administrator.
  • Assist in determining needed supplies and equipment for program office.
  • Attend and participate in program staff meetings.
  • Manage DHH and Vision ESY Program with program administrators.

Terms of Employment

259day work year at compensation set by the SASED Board of Control.
Hourly rate: $17-20/hour 8 hour/day
Candidate received sick time, personal time, emergency, and vacation days and is part of IMRF.
