Job Description & How to Apply Below

Nearly four decades after its establishment, The Will Group has grown into a family of diverse companies serving the construction and utility industries through supply, engineering, and program management. Guided by our mission, “Where There’s A Will, There’s A Way,” we take pride in being a trusted, all-encompassing resource across lighting, infrastructure, electrical, manufacturing, and sourcing. What we do is not just transactional—it’s transformational.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead and elevate safety performance across active construction projects. This role is critical to protecting our people, partners, and job sites while reinforcing a proactive, accountable safety culture from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on construction safety experience, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels—from craft workers to project leadership. You will serve as the on-site safety authority and a trusted partner to superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans aligned with OSHA regulations and company standards
  • Conduct routine job-site inspections and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Lead safety orientations, weekly toolbox talks, and ongoing training for employees and subcontractors
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and drive corrective actions
  • Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and reinforce accountability across all project partners
  • Collaborate with project leadership to proactively address safety risks during planning and execution
  • Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation, reporting, and records
  • Serve as a daily on-site safety resource, providing guidance and promoting best practices
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance safety, efficiency, and overall project performance

What You Bring

  • 3–7 years of construction safety experience in commercial, industrial, or heavy civil environments
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 regulations and construction safety best practices
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Proven ability to lead safety training and influence safe behavior on active job sites
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Proficiency with safety reporting tools and incident tracking systems
  • OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, CSP, or similar certification preferred

Education

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to access active construction sites and various departments
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
  • Good faith salary range: $130,000–$140,000 annually
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous PTO, paid volunteer time off, and 10.5 paid holidays
  • Continuing education reimbursement and additional employee benefits
