The Opportunity
We are seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead and elevate safety performance across active construction projects. This role is critical to protecting our people, partners, and job sites while reinforcing a proactive, accountable safety culture from preconstruction through closeout.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on construction safety experience, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels—from craft workers to project leadership. You will serve as the on-site safety authority and a trusted partner to superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans aligned with OSHA regulations and company standards
- Conduct routine job-site inspections and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards
- Lead safety orientations, weekly toolbox talks, and ongoing training for employees and subcontractors
- Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and drive corrective actions
- Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and reinforce accountability across all project partners
- Collaborate with project leadership to proactively address safety risks during planning and execution
- Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation, reporting, and records
- Serve as a daily on-site safety resource, providing guidance and promoting best practices
- Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance safety, efficiency, and overall project performance
What You Bring
- 3–7 years of construction safety experience in commercial, industrial, or heavy civil environments
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 regulations and construction safety best practices
- Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Proven ability to lead safety training and influence safe behavior on active job sites
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Proficiency with safety reporting tools and incident tracking systems
- OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, CSP, or similar certification preferred
Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to access active construction sites and various departments
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
- Good faith salary range: $130,000–$140,000 annually
- 401(k) with company match
