Adelphi is seeking a licensed Medical Director to oversee and provide medical leadership within a secured correctional healthcare setting in DuPage County, Illinois. The Medical Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services, maintain compliance with applicable standards, and provide direct patient care when necessary. This role involves oversight of medical operations, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to professional and regulatory guidelines.

- Current and unrestricted Illinois Medical License (MD or DO)
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or related specialty
- DEA license and controlled substance registration
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, including supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of NCCHC and ACA standards and correctional healthcare practices
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience providing medical oversight in correctional, institutional, or public health environments
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate interdisciplinary healthcare delivery
- Experience in developing clinical protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Serve as the senior clinical authority for all medical services within the facility
- Provide clinical oversight, direction, and evaluation of physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff
- Review and approve policies, procedures, and treatment protocols to ensure compliance with standards of care
- Conduct patient consultations and provide direct care when required
- Supervise the medical aspects of intake screening, chronic disease management, and emergency response
- Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and morbidity/mortality reviews
- Collaborate with administrative leadership to ensure adequate staffing, resource utilization, and training
