Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 19 years of age
- One of the following:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- 60 semester hours of coursework
- High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro
- High School Diploma or GED and scores of 4 on Applied Mathematics and Reading for Information on ACT Workkeys
Summary: Full-time position (35 hours/week). Assist students with activities to maximize participation and achieve IEP objectives.
Responsibilities include:
Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, perform basic arithmetic, use computers, work with diverse individuals, maintain confidentiality, establish supportive relationships, stay calm under stress, and work independently.
Physical Abilities: Ability to lift students, see, speak, hear, sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications: Valid Educator License with Stipulations (PARA), Substitute License, or Professional Educator License. Experience with special education students preferred. Documentation must be submitted to the DuPage Regional Office of Education.

Work Environment: Standard school building environment; outdoor activities during outdoor student activities.
Travel: May be required between schools.
