Job Description The Lunchroom Supervisor is responsible for monitoring student behavior in the school lunchroom and playground, ensuring safety and discipline, and assisting students during lunch and recess periods. The role involves supervising students, maintaining discipline, assisting with food service and cleanliness, and following safety and crisis procedures.
Responsibilities
Supervise students during lunch and recess periods, including serving lines, seating, and dismissal.Assist students with trays, food, and seating arrangements.Circulate among tables to provide assistance and resolve minor issues.Maintain discipline according to school and district policies.Use conflict resolution strategies to help students solve problems during lunch.Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline issues immediately.Notify custodians of spills and help keep tables clean.Collaborate with food service staff and follow food safety protocols (HACCP).Supervise recess and enforce playground safety rules.Model non-discriminatory practices and maintain confidentiality about students.Follow dress code and display courtesy when interacting with students and staff.Be familiar with emergency procedures and assist in crisis management if needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Additional Details
Rate of pay: $16.50/hour
Working Conditions: School lunchroom and playground
