Our FACTS teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans and instructing students on life skills such as nutrition, food preparation, financial literacy, sewing, child development and much more. The curriculum will blend hands‑on activities along with formal educational techniques to help prepare students for adulthood.

One must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a valid FACS endorsement or Career and Technical Education (CTE) certificate.

Our certified staff are placed on the teacher's salary schedule commensurate with experience and education, where a BA 1 begins at $56,162.00. In addition to a competitive salary our certified staff enjoy 12 sick days and 4 personal days each year, Board‑paid dental for the individual and 90% Board‑paid HMO/PPO insurance for the employee, and 80% Board‑paid for Family.
