- Experience working with students with disabilities and IEPs preferred
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum standards and instructional best practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries in a home-based setting
- Follow all district policies regarding confidentiality, safety, and professional conduct in a home setting.
- Ensure a supportive, structured, and positive learning environment.
- Deliver one‑on‑one instruction in core academic areas (e.g., reading, writing, math) as outlined in the student’s IEP and teacher‑provided lesson plans.
- Implement instructional strategies and accommodations specified in the IEP.
- Collaborate regularly with the student’s general education teacher(s), special education staff, and related service providers.
- Maintain accurate records of instructional hours, student progress, and completed assignments.
- Provide feedback and progress updates to the supervising administrator and IEP team as required.
- Adapt instruction to meet the student’s learning needs, attention level, and medical or emotional considerations.
- Other duties as assigned
- Hours and schedule determined by the student’s IEP and district guidelines.
- Internal applicants hourly rate determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement
- External applicants hourly rate: $32/hour
- Reports to Director of Student Services
