Job Summary

Provide a high-touch approach to developing customer relationships. Offer the full range of banking services for individual customers and commercial clients as well as providing general internal support. The position is responsible for greeting customers and providing new account and teller services, cross‑selling bank products, and supporting other branch operations and facilities management as needed. Address more complex transactions with ease and confidence.

Communicate effectively with current and prospective customers, providing exceptional customer service at all times. Project a professional image for Trust Bank that encourages the network and the Wheaton community to choose Trust Bank.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Promote Trust Bank, its values and service standards.
  • Ensure customers receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Cross‑sell products to customers to meet their needs.
  • Answer phone inquiries.
  • Represent Trust Bank at community functions and within your network to generate new relationships.
  • Open new accounts.
  • Issue and redeem certificates of deposit.
  • Assist customers in resolving account‑related problems.
  • Stay within compliance guidelines when opening and closing accounts.
  • Establish proper identification of all new customers, obtain credit reports to determine account acceptance, and assess product suitability.
  • Provide loan applications as appropriate.
  • Order ATM/Debit cards, update information, activate, etc.
  • Process check orders/re‑orders for customers.
  • Work with the team for friendly, efficient and accurate operation of the bank.
  • Remain flexible to scheduling needs during all Wheaton location business hours (M‑F 8 AM – 6 PM).
  • Open and close the bank when needed.
  • Process night‑drop deposits.
  • Run teller transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Balance drawer cash and vault cash.
  • Approve checks within limits.
  • Order and stock adequate supplies.
  • Maintain over‑and‑short reports and transaction reports.
  • Ship and order currency and coin from the Federal Reserve.
  • Scan and balance transactions in the proof program.
  • Assist with monthly reports.
  • Attend bank meetings and educational seminars as required.
  • Provide support to the Market President.
  • Support ancillary deposit operations across the bank at‑large as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions

The position is a full‑time role, 40 hours per week. Regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM or 9 AM–6 PM, subject to change based on bank needs. The role may require occasional attendance at banking functions and networking events outside regular hours. Work can be repetitive and involves dealing with the public. The environment has moderate noise. Duties may require standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and normal vision abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $23–$25 per hour, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus. Pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Employee benefits details are available on our bank’s website at Trust Bank Careers.
