Salary range: $37.00 – $59.20 hourly rate
. Placement is based on experience and internal equity; union positions follow collective bargaining agreements.

Responsible for the complete nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, teaching, evaluation, and documentation of patient care from admission through discharge. Integrates contributions of the interdisciplinary team to assure best possible outcomes. Supervises and maintains a professional relationship with licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel. Utilizes the nursing process to provide coordinated, holistic care, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and involving patients and families in their plan of care.
Adheres to hospital and nursing department philosophies and policies and accurately documents care in the system as per policy and procedure. Applies current technology, competencies, and theory in the delivery of care.
Required
- Current Illinois RN license.
- BLS CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
- ADN or higher nursing degree (e.g., BSN) or signed learning agreement required upon hire.
- Analytical skills needed to assess patient condition and utilize the nursing process and professional judgment.
- Ability to interact with patients, families, medical personnel, and other health‑care team members.
- Ability to perform effectively and efficiently in stressful, urgent situations.
- Awareness of customer needs related to culture, age, developmental level, and diagnoses.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous rehabilitation nursing work experience.
