We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Registry Registered Nurse (RN) within the Kenneth Moy Care Center.
As part of our Registry team, you will work a minimum of eight (8) shifts per calendar month, four (4) of which must be weekend days. All shifts worked must be eight (8) hours. Total number of hours worked per year must not exceed 1,000 hours.
As part of your schedule, you will be required to work a minimum of:
- One (1) major summer holiday:
Memorial Day, Independence Day (July
4), or Labor Day. - One (1) major winter holiday:
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. - Two (2) additional County holidays:
Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, or Day after Thanksgiving.
This position is assigned to the AFSCME (Care Center) Bargaining Unit. Union contract document is available at: AFSCME Council 31 - Care
This position is not eligible for health insurance benefits and paid time off.

Responsibilities- Responding to residents’ calls and renders services
- Planning and coordinating residents’ care plan
- Preparing and applying dressings and giving medications and treatment as prescribed by physicians
- Supervising and guiding Nurses’ Aides in performance of routine nursing activities
- Maintaining accurate inventory of narcotics and other drugs
- Giving enemas and douches, catheterizing residents, irrigating bladder and administering oxygen
- Contacting families or relatives if resident has needs
- Overseeing documentation to comply with IDPA reimbursement rules, Public Health Regulations and Joint Commission
- Completion of coursework for a diploma in Nursing from an accredited college or university
- Current license in Illinois as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN)
- Wound care experience

The work environment for this position regularly includes working with residents and attending to their daily needs. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to quiet.
