We are pleased to announce a new job opportunity at DuPage County government. We currently have full‑time and part‑time positions for Certified Nursing Associate for first, second and third shift within the Kenneth Moy DuPage Care Center.

Part‑time employees who are regularly scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for medical and dental coverage. Part‑time employees are not eligible for Tuition Reimbursement.

The hourly tenure payment is based on years of experience as a C.N.A. and is in addition to the base hourly pay rate of $18.04.
Experience as a Certified Nursing Aide Hourly Tenure Payment
- 1 Year – $1.50
- 2 Years – $2.50
- 3 Years – $3.50
- 4 Years – $4.50
- 5 Years – $5.50
- 6 or more Years – $6.50
This position is included in the Bargaining Unit of AFSCME, Council 31.

Responsibilities include :
- Changing, feeding, and bathing residents; attending to other personal and grooming needs.
- Serving meals to residents and feeding those unable to feed themselves.
- Performing incontinence checks on every resident every two hours.
- Providing basic skin care to residents.
- Noting any unusual changes in residents condition and reporting them to the RN.
- Transferring residents to and from commode, bed and wheelchair.
- Taking residents’ temperatures and vital signs.
- Turning and positioning immobile residents every two hours.
- Maintaining resident quarters in neat and orderly condition.
Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of the State of Illinois Certified Nurse’s Aide Training Program.
- Passing score on the State of Illinois Competency test.
- Must be registered as active with a clear record on the State of Illinois registry.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Candidates that have the State of Illinois Certified Nurse’s Aide Training Program completed without a passing score on the State of Illinois Competency test must receive a passing score within 120 days of employment.
A post-offer physical is required.
A pre-employment background check is required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and/or arms to provide personal care, crouch or stoop and lift and transfer a maximum of 50 lbs. independently.
