We are hiring for Rice Pool & Water Park and Northside Family Aquatic Center

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for servicing concession patrons by completing all tasks involved with food service preparation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum of fifteen (15) years of age with some knowledge of food/concession operations preferred. Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to work the grill and fryer at Rice.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Must collect money from patrons (i.e. cashier).
• Must be skilled in the use of concession equipment.
• Assist in restocking of inventory.
• Preparation and serving of food items.
• Assist with all opening and closing procedures.
• Report equipment problems to manager.
• Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
• Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
• Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC

This position must have a Serv Safe certificate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position must be able to occasionally move items such as a pallet of soda weighing up to 25 lbs. This position will be required to frequently move about the concession area and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, and reach. This position will be required to stand for extended periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

This position must be able to be exposed to all extreme summer weather conditions including heat, sun, rain, and varying degrees of temperature and light. This position will also frequently be exposed to hot oils and hot equipment, cleaning chemicals and cleaning supplies. The concession area will be very warm at times due to outside weather conditions and heat from the equipment.

SALARY

Starting at $13.00 per hour

SALARY RANGE (UNDER AGE 18)

Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum

$13.00 - $14.00 - $15.00

SALARY RANGE (AGE 18+)

Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum

$15.00 - $18.75 - $22.50
