Join Target as an On-Demand Guest Advocate (Cashier) to help families enjoy everyday life at the largest retail destination.

The Starting Hourly Rate is $17.25 USD per hour. The Pay Range is $17.25 – $25.90 USD per hour.

You can schedule as many or as few shifts as you like. Pick up shifts through the myTime mobile app and work when store needs you.

As a Guest Advocate, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available across the store to improve guest experience.
• Thank guests and show appreciation for choosing Target.
• Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately while complying with food safety standards.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
• Make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed; familiarize with fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll and activate.
• Understand and explain benefits of Wallet and Target App features.
• Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to solve for the guest while following Target policies and procedures.
• Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target policies and procedures.
• Deliver easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.
• Support cash office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Flexibility for picking up night, weekend, and holiday shifts to meet store needs.
• Active engagement by picking up and working shifts and responding to our attempts at contact; work at least one shift within 5 months or you will be administratively terminated.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain duties including Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
• Remain mobile during scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
