A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, bringing the energy of style to life with in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is set with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies, and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to guest priorities

Responsibilities
A Style Consultant’s typical day includes:

• Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory, and guest needs
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom as needed
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by prioritizing fills and merchandising to capacity
• Maintain backroom organization to support replenishment and guest requests
• Remerchandise presentations as products sell through
• Support price changes and clearance merchandising, including signing
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by routing merchandise from fitting rooms to the sales floor
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Work safely and report hazards; comply with safety policies and training
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up with compliance to laws
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with needs
• Thank guests and express appreciation for shopping Target
• Other duties as required by business needs

Physical/Work Environment Basics

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders, scan and move merchandise safely (up to 15 lbs routinely, up to 44 lbs occasionally)
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.)
• Move around shifts as scheduled
