Position Summary
  • Assist the Head Coach to provide a competitive athletic environment that empowers and inspires student athletes
  • Help to foster team building and an environment of reliability, adaptability and good sportsmanship.
  • Aide in the promotion of academic growth and achievement for athletes.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise events as listed below or as assigned by the Athletic Director.
  • Fall:
    Cross Country, Field Hockey, Flag Football, Golf, Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball
  • Winter:
    Basketball, Cheerleading, Girls Gymnastics, Wrestling
  • Spring:
    Badminton, Baseball, Boys Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Girls Soccer, Softball, Boys Tennis, Track and Field, Boys Volleyball
  • Assistant Principal for Athletics of the building assigned.
  • Check the physical set-up prior to the start of the event.
  • Meet and administer responsibilities related to contest officials.
  • Instruct and supervise event workers.
  • Check with athletic trainers regarding location and emergency needs.
  • Meet and orient visiting teams as necessary.
  • Manage contest equipment.
  • Be responsible for general crowd control/administrative supervision.
  • Administer post-contest duties and secure the facility and communicate with maintenance as appropriate.
  • Review proceedings with the Assistant Principal for Athletics the following day.
  • Some events may require earlier set-up or late close-up.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
  • Ability to write professional communications.
  • Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from individuals and groups
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form
  • Ability to complete mathematical operations and apply concepts of basic mathematics
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities
  • Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies
Reports To
  • Assistant Principal for Athletics of the building assigned.
