Wheaton, IL – Seasonal Laborer​/Snowplow Driver

Overview

We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Seasonal Laborer/Snowplow Driver within the DuPage County Division of Transportation. We currently have two (2) vacant positions open at this time that will support the  Winter Snow season. This is a seasonal position and is not eligible for benefits. This position will be temporary until March 31, 2026.

• Snowplowing and snow removal activities
• Washing County Vehicles
• Work zone flagging
• Labor duties for construction crews such as pothole patching, tree trimming, brush chipping, mailbox repair
• Additional duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A valid Illinois Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A or B with Air Brake endorsement

• Experience operating a six-wheel snowplow

A post offer drug screen is required.

Heavy Work:

Employees in this class are required to be on call for emergency situations and seasonal snow removal, which means being capable of working in excess of forty (40) hours per week.
