Base pay range: $29.00/hr – $51.00/hr. (Actual pay based on skills and experience.)

• Adheres to Med Star Health Code of Conduct and compliance plan, completes all scheduled training including safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, harassment, and service. Cleans, stocks, sterilizes equipment, and prepares patient rooms. Delivers patient care consistent with policy and prioritizes safety and quality of care.
• Embraces new technology and uses the electronic health record. Manages patient flow with frequent communication with patients/family, ensuring comfort and time efficiency. Performs spirometry/PFTs, patient vitals, BMI, EKGs, vision and hearing tests, splinting, and general patient care under provider supervision.
• Performs venipuncture and selected point-of-care patient and laboratory testing, initiates care pathways. Performs x-rays per provider orders, forwards images for radiologist evaluation, maintains x-ray equipment, and adheres to safety standards.
• Provides care consistent with Med Star's mission, vision, and values, exceeding patient expectations. Serves as patient escort and assists at discharge, ensuring clarity for patients and families.
• Supports team during downtime or bottlenecks, participates in basic computer and patient intake skills at the front desk, supports providers in examinations, testing, and education. Prepares and administers oral medications and injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal) under provider supervision after demonstrating competency.

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Completion of an approved RT program.
• Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• Two years of medical office experience preferred.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Maryland, Virginia, or DC state license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
