Emergency Medicine Physician – Acute Resource Group – North Region
Join WVU Medicine as a full‑time Emergency Medicine Physician in the Acute Resource Group (ARG) within the West Virginia University Health System.
Role OverviewThis role requires travel within the North Region to the following hospitals:
Wheeling, Renyolds, Wetzel, Barnesville, and Harrison.
- Provide community emergency medical care across critical access, community, regional, and academic medical centers.
- Collaborate with a network of over 100 full‑time emergency medicine physicians to deliver high‑quality patient care.
- Participate in clinical education and research opportunities anchored by WVU’s School of Medicine.
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree (foreign educational equivalency accepted).
- Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
- Completed an accredited residency program.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible via a recognized board within ABMS.
- 40 hours per week.
- Exempt position under United States federal regulations.
