Trauma Surgeon – WVUHS Medical Group
Primary practice location:
Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. Shift‑based position requiring 18 shifts per month, with primary focus on trauma surgery and a critical‑care component.
- Provide trauma surgical care at Wheeling Hospital.
- Deliver critical‑care services as a core component of the role.
- Participate in shift scheduling and support the Northern Region when needed.
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for a West Virginia state medical license.
- Completion of a general‑surgery residency program.
- Board certified or board‑eligible in general surgery.
- All qualifications met by the time of appointment.
- Largest health system in West Virginia and the state's largest private employer.
- 25 hospitals, including an 880‑bed academic medical center and a 150‑bed children's hospital.
