Responsibilities- Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
- Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
- MIG weld 10‑to‑20‑gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
- Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components.
- Familiar with safe welding practices.
- Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
- Must be physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.
- Must be a self‑starter and need minimal guidance on daily tasks.
- Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Must have a working knowledge of MIG welding machines for preventive maintenance and control settings to obtain maximum efficiencies.
- Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred:
Trade school or certification in welding. - Required:
1‑year previous MIG welding experience. - Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
This is a non‑exempt hourly role with a starting pay of $19.50/hour. Employees are eligible for overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week.
