Requirements

• Must live 50+ miles from facility
• Unexpired driver’s license required at submission
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed
• Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Ratios

• Goal 1:4, typically 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• Charge nurses take full assignments
• 2–3 CNAs per shift (1:10–12)

Skills

• Tele (Nihon Kohden) – RNs must read strips
• Titrate drips:
  Amio, Cardizem, Dopamine/Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitro, Heparin (Lasix occasionally)
• Pre/Post caths (radial bands only), CHF, arrhythmias, chest pain, Tikosyn

Support

• EMR:
  Sunrise
• RT, Pharmacy, IV Team, Hospitalist 24/7
• IV team does all IV starts

Schedule

• 12s (7PM–7AM), ready by 6:45
• Self-scheduling | 4 RDOs/month
• Weekends:
  Fri–Sun
• Days must work 3 night shifts/4 weeks
• Nights are straight shift

Floating

• Required to Tele or Med-Surg (up to 1:6–1:7)

Scrubs

• Navy blue only
