Position Summary
The DC Outfitter must have physical stamina and strength to perform various duties in the Distribution Center. Outfitter will be cross‑trained in other departments as needed and may be asked to carry out special projects.
Essential Functions- Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Manual or physical job duties based on DC needs.
- Loads or unloads trailers by hand, including grills, tree stands, safes, kayaks, etc.
- Uses scanners to read barcodes on labels and product.
- Fills customer orders by inspecting merchandise and matching order requirements.
- Stocks merchandise to ensure availability.
- Packs customer orders for shipment.
- Selects and verifies product for fulfillment, and routes to the next area or packs for shipping.
- Assigns and reassigns pick locations based on information from reports and maintains an accurate listing of all locations.
- Sorts merchandise as appropriate.
- Processes, tickets, or sorts merchandise for retail locations.
- Performs returns processing for customer orders.
- Cleans and repairs different reel models, determining if repair is under warranty.
- Maintains work area by cleaning as needed.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Production standards and accuracy are especially important and closely monitored.
- Ability to communicate with fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner and be a team player.
- Must have multitasking skills.
- Commitment to safety rules and procedures.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime when scheduled.
- Attention to detail and ability to work well with numbers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- No travel is required for this position.
- Must meet the physical demands of the job, including repetitive walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stretching, and climbing up and down step ladder for the duration of shift and overtime.
- Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs. for the duration of shift and overtime.
- Good hand‑eye coordination.
- Required to work indoors in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well‑defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor with limited opportunity for independent judgment and decision making.
