Join us as a Building Automated Controls Technician and help our commercial and industrial clients achieve optimal building performance through skilled BAS installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building automation systems (BAS). Responsibilities include programming, commissioning, and documentation of HVAC controls and other building systems.
Responsibilities- Install building automation system communications infrastructure, controllers, and ancillary devices on retrofit projects.
- Develop control sequences, programs, and graphics for new construction and retrofit projects.
- Confirm implementation meets project specifications.
- Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet specifications.
- Complete commissioning reports as proof of controls verification.
- Document installations for as-built control drawings.
- Organize and demonstrate required BAS project sequences to meet commissioning agents’ requirements.
- Represent the company by serving as direct customer contact during projects.
- 3+ years of field experience in HVAC controls.
- Hands‑on experience with commissioning and programming of DDC controls.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience.
- Proficiency with writing code for controller sequence of operations.
- Proficiency with integration protocols (BACnet, Lonworks, Modbus, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Customer‑focused, results‑oriented professional, and strong team player.
- Ability to bend & install conduit.
- Niagara 4 certified.
- Distech Controls experience a plus.
