Night Auditor
Travel + Leisure Co. is a leading vacation ownership and travel membership company. The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work and may oversee all Front Office functions during the third shift.
Responsibilities- Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
- Balance the day's work, including movie revenue, telephone postings, valet laundry, servers and desk agents paperwork, etc.
- Generate all reports required for Food & Beverage audit.
- Maintain proper record keeping (log books, etc.) in accordance with standards.
- Complete initial direct bills and place them on the Property Accountant’s desk.
- Attach all folio/banquet check backup to the bills.
- Handle and follow through on all guest requests during the third shift.
- Promptly greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Complete guest registration, issue unit keys, and provide resort information and area attractions.
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions according to established procedures.
- Balance all cash receipts and perform shift bucket checks, post all guest charges, complete cashier and other reports, prepare deposits, and count/securing assigned bank.
- Complete check‑out procedures.
- Routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups.
- Check departure folios; verify daily cash sheets for accuracy and correct posting.
- Close and reset the credit card system.
- Update no‑shows and run final night audit and associated reports.
- Interact with site accounting regarding daily transactions, cash drops, credit cards, etc. (45% of shift).
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction; handle issues to resolution and recommend service recovery as needed.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments. (25% of shift).
- Ensure compliance with Internal Audit, Quality Assurance, Loss Prevention, Resort Operating Procedures, Guest Service Department Operating Procedure, and SOPs. (15% of shift).
- Build a Count On Me culture, consistently exhibiting a positive, respectful, and guest‑centric attitude. (10% of shift).
- Perform other duties as needed. (5% of shift).
- Education
:
High School diploma or equivalent; accounting education preferred. - Experience
: 1 year of front desk or hospitality experience, 1 year of customer service experience, and 1 year of accounting experience. - Knowledge & Skills
:
Organizational and communication skills; ability to read and comprehend routine instructions; prioritize customer service; problem‑solving with minimal guidance; read/write and understand English; basic math and cash handling; detail oriented; positive, professional appearance; multi‑task in a rapid‑paced environment; people oriented and able to work independently or with others. - Technical Skills
: PC proficiency; accounting systems knowledge; use of basic office equipment (fax, copier, printers);
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with hotel/hospitality front‑office accounting systems is a plus. - Training Requirements

Starting at $25.70 per hour, with an additional $1.00 shift differential for night work.
