Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking an Environmental Health Officer for the Whistler Health Care Centre, specializing in public health and safety compliance. Join our mission to enhance community health standards.

As an Environmental Health Officer, your primary focus will be on maintaining public health and enforcing relevant health regulations within the Whistler area. The role entails conducting inspections, handling community assessments, and preparing comprehensive reports. A Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Health and CPHI(C) certification is mandatory for candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct public health inspections and assessments

• Enforce regulations swiftly and effectively

• Prepare and review health-related reports

• Engage in community health education initiatives

• Collaborate to develop or update environmental health standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Health degree

• Certification as a Public Health Inspector (CPHI(C))

• Must have a valid BC Driver's License for travel

• Strong abilities in problem-solving and analysis

• Effective communication skills for diverse audiences
