Nicklaus North Golf Course is regarded as one of the most pristine and picturesque golf courses in British Columbia! Our previous Assistant moved to a Superintendent position at another GolfBC property, so we are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Golf Course Assistant.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
1.
Golf Course Maintenance and Upgrades
Oversee turf nutrient programs, pesticide applications, irrigation practices, and cultural practices.Maintain optimal condition of the golf course greens, bunkers, fairways, and practice facility.Oversee the property maintenance and aesthetic, conducive to a championship facility.Assist in the preparation and management of the operating budget and five-year capital plan.Coordinate golf course improvement projects.2.
Team Member Development
Recruit, coach, train and supervise the Grounds Maintenance Team to optimum performance while ensuring their safety.Develop and engage the Team with the GolfBC Vision.Ensure the Team is scheduled effectively, and payroll is completed on time.3.
Guest Experience
Maintain course conditions that exceed Guest expectations.Ensure the Team is knowledgeable and able to answer Guest questions.WHAT YOU BRING
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a turf management role is preferred.Post-secondary education in turf maintenance
; preferred but not required.An understanding of the golf course environment and industry.Strong computer skills, technologically sound, up to date with the latest industry trends
.Experience with irrigation systems, water management, IPM, and construction projects.Exceptional communication
