Drive your career forward as an Equipment Operator II with the Resort Municipality of Whistler. This role focuses on safely operating snow-clearing equipment and maintaining road projects from November 2, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
In this position, you will report to the Supervisor of Roads and play a crucial role in maintaining a safe transportation network for both residents and the millions of visitors to Whistler. Candidates must have a grade 12 diploma, 2 years of snow removal experience, and 1-3 years operating heavy equipment in adverse conditions. A commitment to safety and customer service is key in this team-focused role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain snow-clearing equipment
• Perform maintenance on road construction projects
• Ensure safe and efficient transportation network
• Minimize risk of flooding through proactive measures
• Communicate effectively with the public and team
Requirements:
• Minimum grade 12 diploma
• 2 years of snow removal experience
• 1-3 years in heavy equipment operation
• Valid class 5 BC driver’s license
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
