We’re excited to partner with a highly respected, growth-oriented precision manufacturing organization in the Twin Cities that is expanding its engineering team. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support advanced CNC machining operations and drive next-generation automation initiatives across a clean, modern, and heavily invested production environment.
The Manufacturing Engineer will develop machining processes, program CNC equipment (Swiss, multi-spindle, multi-turret), design tooling and fixturing, troubleshoot production issues, and partner cross-functionally to elevate quality, throughput, and machine autonomy.
Responsibilities- Develop and optimize CNC machining processes across turning, milling, and multi-axis equipment. Create and refine CNC programs, setup sheets, and machining workflows to support new and existing products.
- Troubleshoot machining issues on the floor – address tooling, process, and machine performance challenges.
- Design, source, and validate fixturing, tooling, gauges, and related production equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle time, improving quality, and increasing machine uptime.
- Support automation and autonomous machining projects, including inspection integration, robotic handling, and feedback loops.
- Analyze data from machining operations to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for optimization.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews for manufacturability and contribute technical insight to new product introductions.
- Provide hands‑on floor support, training, and guidance to operators and technicians as needed.
- Evaluate new equipment, tooling technologies, and machining methods to support long‑term capability expansion.
- Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in machining or manufacturing engineering.
- Hands‑on CNC machining and troubleshooting experience.
- CAD/CAM proficiency (Gibbs, Esprit, or similar).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, CI, sales, and operations.
