We are part of Marmon Holdings, backed by Berkshire Hathaway, and committed to making a positive impact on the world. As a Robotics Technician, you will program, maintain, and troubleshoot robotic cells throughout all phases of robotic design, development, production, testing, and operations.
Role and Responsibilities- Provide input for fixture design on new and existing programs.
- Assist with sourcing equipment, parts, supplies, and technical support.
- Develop and maintain layout of work cells.
- Establish production/process standards.
- Establish and monitor maintenance schedules.
- Write and update work instructions for robotic cells.
- Train personnel on equipment and processes.
- Maintain robots, mechanical/electronic equipment, and PLCs.
- Analyze robotic problems and assist with root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Provide feedback for long‑term machine use/efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements and modifications to ensure greatest efficiency with safety and productivity as priority.
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment required for job tasks.
- Observe all established safety rules and regulations, including Lock Out Tag Out requirements, and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Above‑average math skills.
- Above‑average proficiency in office systems (word processing, spreadsheets).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments.
- Can work well with others with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Ability to operate a forklift truck.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years mechanical experience.
- Experience with electronics (including PLCs).
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and reading blueprints/schematics.
- Experience with CAD programs preferred.
- Experience in plastics industry preferred.
- Valid forklift license.
