- Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in Speech Language Pathology
- Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation
- Basic internet navigation skills
- Valid Speech‑Language Pathologist state license (where appropriate)
Provide Speech‑Language Pathology (SLP) therapy and related services for patients while maintaining positive interaction levels with facilities and clients in accordance with Speech‑Language Pathology principles and Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Provide quality patient care, including screening and evaluation, development of treatment plans, discharge planning, and case management. Maintain professional conduct that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service. Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding speech‑language pathology therapy.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Optimize communication, cognitive‑linguistic abilities, and swallowing skills of patients by providing, directing, and/or overseeing speech therapy.
- Build a strong SLP program.
- Enhance clinical expertise and management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, and other staff, self‑study, and other continuing education activities.
- Maintain valid state license and stay aware of issues related to the profession and the healthcare environment.
- Understand relevant payment models for billing and treatment guidelines, and provide quality care with appropriate goals and outcomes.
- Be compliant with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend in English for instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports.
