- Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation
- Basic Internet navigation skills
- Valid physical therapist state license
Provide physical therapy and related services, maintain positive interaction with facilities and clients, screen and evaluate patients, develop and update treatment plans, discharge planning, supervise assistants and rehab techs, and handle case management responsibilities. Represent the company’s commitment to quality and service in all interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Optimize patient functionality and skills by providing, directing, and/or overseeing physical therapy
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to PTAs
- Directly supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs in skilled tasks during group and individual treatments, promoting efficient and effective resource utilization and ongoing development of clinical skills per state practice acts and company policy
- Build a strong physical therapy program
- Enhance clinical expertise and professional/management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, other professional staff, self‑study, and continuing education activities
- Maintain a valid state license and stay aware of issues related to physical therapy and the health care environment
- Understand payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, providing quality care with reasonable goals and outcomes within guidelines
- Be compliant with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within a facility
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
