Job Description:

Provide senior Continuity staff planning, program, and exercise support services to the Department of Defense, CIO, National Leadership Command Capabilities (NLCC) Office in the Pentagon. Ensure resilient and reliable National and Mission Essential Functions with particular focus on Senior Leadership Communications Systems and Mission Assurance. U.S. Citizenship, DoD TOP Secret Clearance, eligible for SCI required. Experience working in the Department of Defense or other Government agencies (White House, DISA, NSA, DIA …), preferably with a Secretary, Joint, Service, Major Command (STRATCOM, SCW-1, Global Strike) or continuity program staff.

Good oral and written communications skills, good briefer, able to present and coordinate Sec Def positions and issues. Participate in related working groups as member and serve as back-up lead for GS 14/15 staff. Participate in and manage interagency coordination on DoD continuity policies and programs. Interact with, and directly support, other staff action officers and up to GS-14 / GS-15 / SES / Flag level officers with coordination packages, briefings, programs, exercises and operations.

Strong dedication to a critical National continuity mission. Pristine ethics, dedication, team player, well spoken, considerate of others. Retiring O-4 / O-5 / O-6 staff officer with continuity experience on Sec Def, JCS, Service, Major Command, USAF, USN, USA, USMC staffs, other Department / Agency staffs.
