Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic

• Reporting office, for approximately the first 12 months, will be in Clarksville, TN. The reporting office will then transfer to our White House office.
• The current regular work schedule is four (4) ten hour days but is subject to change to five (5) eight hour days in the future.

Provides maintenance for vehicle fleet and mobile communications equipment including installation; inspects and maintains hydraulic and other aerial lifting devices associated with vehicle fleet.

• Observes and practices CEMC safety rules, procedures, safety policies, and bulletins.
• Performs maintenance on company vehicles as assigned; maintains and updates logs on each vehicle concerning work performed.
• Installs and maintains mobile communication equipment in company vehicles.
• Assists in purchasing and maintains inventory of necessary maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Performs inspections and maintenance on hydraulic and other aerial lifting devices associated with company vehicles.
• Cleans and maintains garage and vehicle maintenance building.
• Operates winch trucks and bucket trucks in order to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License
• Class A Commercial Driver's License with a 57 Restriction or the ability to obtain one within 90 Days.
• Additional formal education in motor vehicle and/or hydraulic systems is required.
• Must complete Mobile Hydraulic certification within first 6 months.

Associates degree in automotive/ diesel technology.

Exceptional favorable education may be considered for a portion of the experience requirements.

• 2 years of experience in repair and maintenance of all types of cars and trucks.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to use hand tools and operate light equipment, such as chains saw, air compressor, etc.
• Ability to handle several related items at the same time.
• Ability to work with all cooperative employees in the best interest of the Cooperative.
• Must be able to work independently as required. Preferred:
  Experience working with other employees in a team effort. Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.
