EHS Representative - Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project

Expected salary range: $145,000 – $165,000

Position Type: Full‑time (Mid‑Senior level) in White Plains, New York.

About Frontier‑Kemper: Frontier‑Kemper is a heavy civil construction and underground mine development contractor. This project is a $1.1 billion deep rock tunnel between the Kensico Reservoir and the Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet Light Disinfection Facility in Westchester County.

We are seeking an EHS Representative to join our team. No staffing agency candidates will be considered. Applicants must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and enforce individual site Health and Safety plans, ensuring compliance with JHAs, EHASP, and NYCDEP regulations.
  • Maintain a safe jobsite, inspect construction sites daily, and correct safety deficiencies.
  • Provide safety orientations, Toolbox talks, daily stretch & flex, and daily report generation.
  • Prepare accident reports, maintain MSDS and Hazardous Communication Program, and distribute incident files.
  • Conduct safety audits, first‑aid and CPR training, and supervise safety and first‑aid training of staff.
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendents with job‑specific safety plans and JHA development.
  • Accompany safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walk‑through tours and additional assignments as requested.
Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 credential required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Health & Safety related program from an accredited institution.
  • Five or more years of experience as a manager or supervisor of safety teams.
  • Ten or more years of heavy civil construction, with underground construction experience. TBM experience highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with NYCDEP safety and health regulations.
  • Current certification in first aid and CPR by the American Red Cross or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 software.
