• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of local roadway/highway design, hydraulic/hydrologic analysis, storm/sanitary sewer design, site grading, preparation of stormwater pollution prevention plans including post-construction stormwater management and sediment/erosion controls, utility design, permitting, and coordination with regulatory agencies and other design disciplines.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, specifications, and construction estimates.
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations.
• Work in a production role on design-build projects to coordinate design packages, track quality control reviews, and ensure the project is on schedule.

• MS/BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Preferred candidates will have EIT and be on track for NY or NJ PE. Candidates hired without their EIT will be titled “Civil/Highway Designer”.
• Experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, NJDOT and/or NJTA projects is preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

• Candidates who reside locally in the metro NY/NJ/CT area are preferred.
• Position can be in New York, NY, Newark, NJ, or White Plains, NY.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficient with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley Concept Station and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D.
