Junior Controller

At The Lucas Bols Company, we are looking for a Junior Controller to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide hands‑on operational support to the Senior Finance Manager. Your work comprises day‑to‑day financial administration, monthly closing process and year‑end audit preparations.

Given the magnitude and importance of the US cocktail market, the Company set up a wholly‑owned subsidiary (Lucas Bols USA, Inc.) in New York that takes care of marketing, sales, compliance, supply chain operations and finance for the US market. Lucas Bols USA, Inc. distributes in all states and works with renowned distributors such as RNDC and BBG.

We serve the US market with a small team. You will be part of the US Finance team with short lines to the Group Finance team in Amsterdam. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, tech savvy, has strong attention to detail, and proficiency in bookkeeping and reconciliation processes.

• Process supplier invoices in close cooperation with our accounting firm in the US and the LB team in Amsterdam
• Process supplier payments
• Process bank statements
• Process credit card expenses and ensure timely submission of expense reports
• Monitor debtors’ aging and action on (potential) overdue amounts

• Close the month in close cooperation with our accounting firm and review their accounting package
• Process sales transactions
• Process bank transactions
• Book month‑end journals
• Prepare monthly reconciliations (i.e. balance sheet accounts)

• Preparation of the audit file

• A degree in accounting, finance or related field;
• 2-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar bookkeeping role;
• Excellent skills in Excel;
• Strong analytical and communication skills; and
• Experience in an international and multi‑entity environment is a plus.
