Tax Senior - Ops & Technology

This position will be responsible for supporting Arch's tax automation and transformation strategy. The successful candidate will maintain and enhance tools used during end-to-end tax provision and compliance processes. The role supports the global income tax reporting and compliance services to the Arch group. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Finance. We would love to talk with candidates who have both tax technology and provisioning experience.

This role will sit in the White Plains, NY office on a hybrid schedule of two days in the office, three days remote.

• Enhance efficiency and effectiveness of global tax operations using models and software tools
• Provide data management including upkeep of tax software data hierarchies and mappings
• Support the long-term tax technology roadmap by assisting in software implementations
• Liaise with relevant and associated areas and groups within the business process to establish, support and maintain business relationships and organizational effectiveness
• This position may assist with preparation of the quarterly tax provision, tax footnote, annual tax compliance and ad hoc tax planning projects on an as-needed basis

• 3+ years public accounting corporate tax technology or tax provisioning experience
• Familiarity with global tax provisioning tools such as Longview, One Source, or Corptax
• Data analysis and data extraction skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and demonstrate effective time management
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a strong operational focus
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Experience with process improvement & data visualization through leveraging technology tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, etc.
• Strong understanding of tax systems and interfaces
• Knowledge and experience with ERPs such as Workday
• Experience in property, casualty and/or mortgage insurance or reinsurance operations
• Experience in international tax and non-US parent company

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems or related field
• CPA certification preferred

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

• $98,000 - $120,000/year
