Join to apply for the Senior HRIS Manager role at VEG ER for Pets

ABOUT VEG

In 2014, VEG was born with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most by challenging norms and fixing the ER experience. Since then, we've expanded rapidly, with hospitals nationwide open 24/7/365, and created an ER experience that focuses on what our pets and pet parents really need. We've done the same for our people (VEGgies), finding a way to say YES so they can feel empowered to achieve great things, grow in unexpected ways, and find a place where they truly belong.

THE

JOB

At VEG, people are everything—and we're looking for a Senior Manager of HRIS to help build the systems that support them. You'll be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of our HRIS and working within our tech stack (think: Workday) and partner with a high‑performing team to make sure our data is clean, secure, and super useful. From streamlining workflows to unlocking people insights, you'll help make life easier for every VEGgie.

If you love connecting tech, people, and purpose—and want to build the future of HR at the world's veterinary emergency company—we'd love to meet you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead and Evolve HRIS Strategy:
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for VEG’s HR technology ecosystem – including Workday – ensuring alignment with business priorities and continuous improvement through automation and workflow optimization
  • Drive Workday Configuration and Enhancements:
Oversee end‑to‑end Workday configuration and enhancement projects across core modules (HCM, Security, Compensation, Benefits and Talent), managing project life cycles from business requirements through deployment and adoption
  • Ensure System Integrity and Performance:
Manage day‑to‑day HRIS operations, ensuring data accuracy, security, and minimal downtime through proactive system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Enable Data‑Driven Decision‑Making:
Deliver actionable people analytics through dashboards, reporting, and insights that support strategic planning across payroll, benefits, performance and more
  • Collaborate with a High‑Performing Team:
Partner with a team of HRIS analysts, building deep system expertise across the organization while fostering a culture of innovation, service and continuous learning
  • Partner with Stakeholders:
Serve as a trusted collaborator and provide training and support to cross‑functional teams, including IT, Finance, Payroll and Operations to ensure seamless integration of HRIS with other enterprise systems
WHAT YOU NEED
  • 6–8 years of experience in HR systems, with at least 4+ years of hands‑on Workday configuration and administration
  • Proven track record leading end‑to‑end system implementations, optimizations, or upgrades
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and competing priorities
  • Experience translating business needs into scalable system solutions across multiple functional areas
  • Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally across departments
  • Workday certification and experience with related platforms (e.g., Greenhouse, Cornerstone, Service Now) a plus
HOW WE INVEST IN YOU
  • Competitive Compensation Including ($140,000 - $180,000) + bonus + benefits
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, and access to free therapy or counseling
  • Paid parental leave, up to 10 weeks at 100% of regular salary, and offering inclusive fertility and family‑building care for all types of families
  • Unlimited PTO to use for vacation or sick days – however you need it!
  • Generous referral rewards, so our awesome people can bring in more awesome people.
  • And the little (big) things, like casual office attire, ability to bring your fur baby to work, cool VEG swag, food in the fridge for when you're hungry and free lunches twice a week!
  • Company laptop and a monthly cell phone reimbursement
