Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of real estate residential and commercial transactions, representing Sellers, Buyers, Builders, Developers and Lenders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about real property law, possess excellent negotiation skills, and have a strong foundation in writing and research.

You will play a vital role in guiding clients through complex real estate deals, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and providing strategic legal advice to support our client's and our firm’s growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and closing documents to ensure clarity and legal soundness.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Lexis Nexis and Westlaw to stay current on relevant property laws, environmental regulations, and zoning ordinances.
  • Advise clients on estate planning related to real estate assets, including wills, trusts, and probate procedures.
  • Provide expertise in environmental law as it pertains to property development and land use issues.
  • Assist with due diligence processes during property acquisitions or sales by reviewing title reports, conducting title searches and Board Minutes.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all legal documents and correspondence within the law office management system.

Skills

  • Proven experience in real estate law, and related legal matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with clients, lenders, real estate agents, title companies and other attorneys.
  • Review title reports and work with title companies to resolve issues.
  • Representing clients and lenders at closings.
  • Preparing Closing Statements and other documents.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence.
  • Skilled negotiator capable of facilitating favorable agreements while managing complex negotiations effectively.
  • Solid understanding of real estate transactions from initial contract review through closing procedures.
  • Ability to interpret zoning laws, environmental regulations, and land use policies impacting property development projects.
