Trust and Estate Associate Opportunity in White Plains, NY – Up to $180K
Legacy Planning for $20M+ Clients in Suburban Excellence:
This NY mid-sized boutique lets associates craft sophisticated trusts for high-net-worth clients averaging $20M-$100M, completing 20+ estate plans last year with 95% client retention.
- Recruiting for a mid-sized NY trust and estate boutique (40 attorneys, Best Lawyers in America-recognized).
- Seeking Trust and Estate Associates with experience in estate plans, wills, trusts, or probate matters.
- Onsite White Plains office (5 days to start, negotiable flexibility; 3-min walk from train station), focusing on NY/Federal tax strategies, drafting, and wealth transfers.
- Build client relationships and grow in Westchester's supportive suburban market with family-friendly perks.
- Compensation
: $160K-$180K base + adjustments or bonuses based on 1,850 billables. - Plan Volume
: 20+ estate plans in 2024, including $25M+ trusts for affluent NY families. - Collaborative Prestige

- Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives, to meet clients’ objectives.
- Conduct legal research on New York probate laws, tax regulations, and fiduciary duties to support estate administration and planning strategies.
- Assist in probate and trust administration, including preparing petitions, inventories, and accountings for court filings.
- Advise clients on estate and gift tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Prepare and file documents for estate litigation matters, such as will contests or breach of fiduciary duty claims, to represent clients’ interests.
