Respected gc located in White Plains NY is actively looking to hire 1 or 2 Purchasing Agents with construction experience. The company are keen to speak with those currently working for general contractors and are targeting a salary in the range of 70-120k depending on experience.
The firm is extremely busy, with numerous live projects as well as a strong pipeline of up and coming sites too.
Their focus is that of developing residential units across NY, areas such as Mount Vernon, Bronx, Queens, Yonkers & White Plains.
Experience required:- Currently working as a Purchasing Agent within a purchasing dept, in the construction industry.
- Hands on experience and understanding of construction materials.
- Knowledge of procurement principles & practices.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
