The Cashier provides fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier will position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.

They provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervising, coaching and training Front End Associates through training and coaching tools.

• Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area.
• Provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers.
• Seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
• Support Cashiers by expediting price checks and handling POS transactions and markdowns where applicable.
• Assist in supervising, coaching and training other Front End Associates and Cashiers as part of training and development activities.

• Preferred: 1+ years of Cashier experience.
• Experience with cashiering, POS terminals, and customer service.
