The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Valet Attendant to work with our Valet Team.
Act as a host or hostess to all arriving and departing guests. Acknowledges and greets each guest with enthusiasm and prescribed terminology immediately upon the guest's arrival and delivers service with a smile. $13 + tips!
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Create excitement through guest interaction and conversation.
- Deliver five-star service by accurately escorting arriving guests to rooms, handling baggage transfers, and accommodating guests' special requests.
- Perform the same functions when guests depart.
- Act as valet attendant as business needs dictate.
- Be a team player with entire hotel staff.
- Be courteous, friendly and able to represent the hotel professionally to guests.
- Be knowledgeable on the various types of rooms and amenities available at the hotel, as well as the activities and services available.
- Be very familiar with local attractions in the surrounding areas to comfortably make recommendations and give directions.
- Be service-oriented and actively looking for ways to help people.
- Active listener: give full attention to what others are saying and take time to understand the points being made while asking appropriate questions and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Ability to write effectively as appropriate for the needs of teammates and guests.
- This is a rewarding and physically demanding job. Candidates must be able to perform the required duties of a valet attendant (jogging, long periods of being on feet, extended periods of being outdoors in all types of weather, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the phone, with staff, senior management team members, and ownership.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to promote services of the hotel.
- Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.
- Ability and willingness to work with various office equipment and software systems.
- Maintain a positive influence in the community and positive relations with area vendors.
- Able to operate a manual transmission.
- Good driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no DUI, DWI, reckless driving, or suspended/revoked license).

High School or High School equivalent is an asset.
Experience / Licenses or Certificates- Minimum of 2 years experience in hospitality industry an asset.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 50 lbs. may be required. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty‑four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
Schedule / Holidays / PTOThis position requires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. Valet is expected to usually keep a 5‑day‑a‑week schedule but adjust as needed according to business needs; for example, a 6‑day week may be required during peak business periods.
