Assistant Housekeeping Manager role at Averill Hospitality
The Lodge at Whitefish Lake
, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a FULL-TIME Assistant Housekeeping Manager to work with our housekeeping team.
- Conduct regular department meetings to ensure strong communication among staff.
- Assign “boards” to housekeeping team at the beginning of each day.
- Oversee daily tasks of Housekeepers, Housemen, and Laundry Attendants.
- Assist housekeeping in cleaning rooms, condos, and luxury homes as needed.
- Create and implement SOPs for quality assurance for the Housekeeping Department.
- Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure they are ready for check‑in.
- Create employee schedules and handle payroll for the housekeeping department.
- Order supplies and keep track of inventory for the Housekeeping Department.
- Report necessary maintenance issues to Front Office so a work order is made.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Operating housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, maid carts, etc.
- Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.
- Maintain a positive influence in the community and positive relations with area vendors.
- Teamwork – balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views, welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team environment, and prioritizes the team’s success above own interests.
- Quality – meets productivity standards, completes work promptly, strives to increase productivity, works quickly and efficiently.
- Guest Service – responds promptly to guests’ needs and takes ownership of the overall guest experience.
- Professionalism – respectfully approaches others, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of status or position, accepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.
- Leadership – responsible for leading the housekeeping department on a daily basis to ensure the overall success of the team.
Education: High School or High School equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience in a related field.
Pay rate will depend on experience.
