Assistant Store Manager – Cenex® Zip Trip Convenience Store (Whitefish, MT)
Base pay range: $15.19/hr – $22.79/hr

This role will assist the manager with the responsibility of all aspects of store operations.

This is a full‑time role with work schedule flexibility.
Responsibilities- Provide work direction, training, and assistance to team members.
- Create a high‑energy, fun work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service – greet and assist customers promptly and courteously.
- Perform cashier responsibilities, including accepting payments and issuing receipts.
- Display and organize products for easy customer location.
- Maintain store appearance through dusting, cleaning, and restocking merchandise.
- Order merchandise and track inventory as assigned.
- Authorize gas station pump payments.
- Monitor customers to assist with loss prevention.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, training, PPE procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct unsafe actions or conditions.
- 3+ years of experience in retail and/or retail merchandising and customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Experience managing in retail, convenience, or fast‑food stores.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Basic math and computer skills to operate store equipment such as cash registers and record‑keeping systems.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Completion of any required pre‑employment screenings (drug, criminal, motor vehicle, physical, FMSCA Clearinghouse).
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, and lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly.
