Major Duties- Performs analysis on items related to NSN/non-NSNs to enhance the procurement process.
- Coordinates with other DLA/DoD functional disciplines to resolve technical issues and identify future acquisition and demand requirements.
- Analyzes technical source documents to identify trends and conditions relating to the effectiveness of certain programs and systems.
- Assists in coordinating and resolving technical/quality issues about the characteristics and uses of an item.
- Monitors workload, compiles data/information, and briefs leadership on supply chain related issues.
- Provides Supply Chain recommendations on quality/technical issues related to Engineering Support or one of the Value Management Programs (Spare Parts Breakout, Should Cost, etc.).

Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Compiling data/information for various reports and ability to brief results. Identifying problems and recommending solutions to appropriate authorities related to technical and or quality issue. Interpreting technical data to enhance the item/materiel procurement process. Reviewing and interpreting technical data, such as drawing specifications. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
