Overview

Outside Sales – Electrical role at Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. is based in Columbus, OH. The position focuses on accounts located in Columbus proper, Hilliard, Dublin, Powell, and surrounding areas. We are a full electrical, plumbing, and HVAC supply house with the ability to sell other lines beyond electrical.

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM. No weekends.

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Must have outside sales and/or electrical experience

• Solicit sales orders or work to build stronger business relationships at company-sponsored events
• Use catalog or computer to determine part numbers, pricing, and enter orders or communicate orders to inside staff
• Read blueprints or schematics and propose lists of items needed to complete the job; bid as needed
• Recommend substitute or upscale items and expedite orders when necessary
• Keep the customer informed about current products, pricing, and promotions; pursue competitive pricing for the customer
• Emphasize the services provided and their value
• Use samples, brochures, laptop presentations, and vendor reps to introduce new items or demonstrate features
• Research non-stocked items to meet customer needs based on product knowledge
• Join associations or groups and attend sales meetings, vendor trainings, and industry events to maintain and improve product knowledge
• Assist Sales Manager in orientation and training of new outside sales staff as needed
• Evaluate returned items, determine corrective actions, and complete necessary paperwork for credits, defects, or returns
• May drive to customer locations to hand-deliver small items or arrange delivery
• Run and review sales reports and maintain customer information in the system
• Collaborate with other departments to improve profitability and communications
